When Jim would take Grace to dollhouse shows, he would find tools that he liked. One of the first was a lathe by Ron Bufton. For two years, Jim & Grace collected tools from different shows. Grace promised that one day she would create a roombox workshop for Jim. For Christmas this year, Grace built the roombox shop, as close as possible to what his real life shop looks like. The miniature shop isn't as cluttered as the real shop...
but give Grace & Jim a few more years to find more tools.

Unfinished shell. The real shop has a dirt and gravel floor.

Right end with sliding panel door.

Left end with garage door. There is a handle on the door, now.

Unfinished shell. The siding is board and batten. Grace added the upper floor to a room box kit.

Completed shop overview. Many of the hand tools are by
Sir Thomas Thumb.

There is a radial arm saw made by
Linda Master on the work bench.

Notice the bags of sawdust sitting around.

Note the lathe by
Ron Bufton that started it all. The gold colored work bench is by
Sir Thomas Thumb.

Table saw. See the extension cords? Each has a male end and a female end.

Work table and saw horses were made by Grace. The bin of nails are from
Wright Guide Miniatures.

Notice the shop vac? You can also see the knife set more clearly here. They are by
Ron Stekowitz.

See the compressor in front of the work bench?

Yellow and orange extension cords are on the floor and wound up on the work bench.

Jim has tons of empty boxes stored in his shop.

Notice the "Craftsman" tool box on the bench. There are tools in the drawers.

Spot is sitting on the work bench.

Notice all the sawdust under the table saw?

Stumpy is on the work table.

The welding tanks are also by Ron Bufton.

Grace built the panel saw against the wall.

Three cats live in Jim's shop, this is Boots.

Notice the ban saw and drill press.
Linda Master carved the tools and Grace painted them and made the stands.

There is a project started on the work table. Jim wanted logos on all the tools. After Grace gave the shop to him, he spent all afternoon re-arranging things and putting finishing touches on the shop before he pronounced it ready to photograph. I'm sure there will be many more tools that will find a home here in the future! Hope you enjoyed the tour!
